:: Orthopedic & Post Op Rehab
The word ORTHOPEDIC refers to the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention or correction of injuries or disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. At Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, we have a highly trained staff to help address every type of orthopedic injury from initial diagnosis to complete recovery. Our world class orthopedic team consists of physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, certified massage therapists, as well as orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, podiatrists, internists, and x-ray technicians.
While all of our physical therapists specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation, we do have some Orthopedic Certified Specialist on staff. An OCS is a licensed Physical Therapist who has advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and skills in the practice of orthopedics. These specialists have to take an exam through the National Board of Medical Examiners after having completed a minimum number of years in practice.
If you aren’t sure who you should see, scheduling an appointment with one of our physical therapists is an excellent place to start. They will provide an initial consultation and determine the very best course of treatment so that you can obtain the maximum recovery possible. We address any type of orthopedic injury from the basic ankle sprain to post-surgical injuries. We want you to meet your goals to live the active life of a professional athlete or weekend warrior!
If you are scheduled for surgery in the near future, make sure you contact our office as soon as possible to schedule physical therapy appointments in line with your surgeon’s recommendations. Our appointments fill up fast! Call (303) 544-5700 or click here to schedule an appointment.
